Florilegio reimagines menswear tailoring. Archival suits, jackets and trousers become the starting point for new constructions,
with each intervention reshaping their details, proportions and original codes.
The First Breath begins with a men’s pinstripe suit in 100% cotton, reinterpreted through a series of details and interventions that give it an entirely new character.
A composition of floral brooches crafted from fabrics, lace and materials left unused from previous creations extends from the shoulder along the lapel, creating a tactile, deliberately irregular arrangement.
The original buttons have been replaced with individually selected archival buttons, each one different and chosen to complement the colours and materials of the composition.
The jacket features three deep vents — two at the sides and one at the centre back — cut high into the garment to open up the silhouette and give it greater movement.
The trousers retain their original menswear tailoring while being adapted for a more flexible fit. The adjustable waistband, with four buttons on each side, allows the waist to be altered to accommodate different proportions.
The pinstripe remains the defining element of the suit: a classic foundation that, through floral details, unexpected openings and new proportions, takes on a new language without losing its original character.
